i am out by the patio right now, just relaxing on my blue sun deck chair with a bull frog drink in hand. The cool night breeze adds to the relaxed intoxicating feeling.

Bonggo Calawod

Happy holidays, Anton.
Boy, am I green with envy as you plan how to spend the season with your Chino and the wife.
By the way, my name is Bonggo Calawod, a Pinoy who is all of 10 months here in Dubai. I hope the name still rings a bell. I am the guy who won the AED30,000 Dream Room Makeover from Irony Home.
I stumbled into the blog (Sandier Pastures) yesterday and saw your comment.
You wonder why I am living alone?
Because 10 months ago, I left my then 11-year-old son and my wife in the Philippines to look for "sandier pastures" (pun intended). My son is studying in Quezon City and my wife has a job in the nation's flag carrier so they can't be with me.
So there... I hope this clears any "shady" thing about what you commented about my name and why I am alone. If you are Filipino, I believe you wouldn't find anything unusual about the name. Oh yes, Bonggo is a name my wife lovingly calls me. It is actually a variation of my nickname - Bong.
Merry Christmas to you and to your family. :)
And yes, please watch out for the pictures of my living room after the makeover soon.
