What really makes me more furious is the lack of attention coming from the Manila Standard Today as to how they should deal with Ms. Fernandez. Despite the threat of a boycott on their daily coming from the Philippine Blogosphere, and yes, the support has been quite tremendous, Manila Standard Today has yet to issue an apology to the readers which Ms. Fernandez has so offended.
Why Manila Standard Today has not said anything, i don't know why.
For one, I do agree with her saying that there were a lot of Filipinos in economy class whenever you fly to Dubai. Stats actually show that there are like 300 or so Pinoys entering Dubai on a daily basis. She is lucky though, to have been seated next to Filipinos rather than some different nationality who may have probably irked her nasal senses. That, would have been more of a personal hell than what she had earlier described.
But scent is not the issue here. Maybe, Ms. Fernandez has issues on her own persona which she has to deal with herself and does so therapeutically by showing off that she is i her own make believe world where she thinks she looks fabulous and is part of the high and mighty.
And if this is the problem, somebody please slap her and wake her up. (no, wait, if i had it my way, I'd bang her head on the wall)
I wouldn't want to be trapped in the idea of carrying a casual conversation with her because she might be far more worse than a dumb bimbo.
Amazingly, a quick search in google will show the reactions of more than a hundred or so bloggers who have been offended by Ms. Fernandez' acerbic wit. She has become one of the most hated person in the local blogosphere and i can't blame her why.
I do not want to hear any apologies from her, because the last one she gave was more annoying than her original article. What i think she should do, out of delicadeza, is to step down from her post at the Manila Standard Today and forget about writing, let alone she really wants to then she would have to reprove herself in sincerity. (which i think is a really far shot)
Step down, madam, resign. It is for your own good.
Do not say sorry, we'd rather have you gone.
Because right now, you smell far worse than pigshit in a pigsty, which your Jo Malone can not cover.

Ha Ha Ha! So funny that Malu. I am not an OFW. I came to Canada in my early years. I do not remit money to PI as I have no immediate family members there. But just as well, I am deeply offended by that classless Malu Fernandez. Too arrogant who thinks highly of herself. She should reflect on her self-absorbing attitude.
